Election Day in the USA

So, today is the day! The long awaited election day here in the USA! After today, there will be no more candidates and no more campaigning – at least not until the 2020 election cycle begins.

Come tomorrow morning, we should know who our next president for the next four years will be. I know that no matter what the outcome is, there will be many who will disapprove of the choice that is made. If the craziness that has accompanied the campaign trail on both sides over the past year is any indication, I am afraid that there may be more riots and protests yet to come. I really hope that I am way off base and that none of this comes true! There has been enough violence associated with this election it certainly does not need to be continued!

campaigning

No matter who wins the election, the person I voted for or another candidate, I will support the chosen person as my President for as long as they are in office. Holding a grudge will not help this country in any way. ONLY Unity can help heal some of the wounds that have been heaped upon this country and its citizen of the past few years.  Personally, what I hope for is that whoever ends up in office will run this country to the best of their ability, with humility, dignity and morality and that they will uphold the Constitutional Laws of this country.

In closing, I would just like to say that there is no way that this country can return to the greatness that it once had as long as we, as a people, continue to fight among ourselves and let ourselves be divided by the will of others.

NO ONE can MAKE you Feel or Do Anything than You are Unwilling to Go Along With!!

My Birthday/Tonight’s TWD Premier

So, a couple of days ago was my birthday. On Friday, I turned 57 years old. Sometimes, it is so hard to believe that I am as old as I am. In my mind, I don’t feel old at all, but the mysterious aches and pains in my joints and bones remind me that I am certainly no longer a Spring Chicken! lol I am just happy that I continue to be blessed with waking up to face another day!

Tonight is finally the premier of The Walking Dead, Season 7! This is a highly anticipated episode and if you are a fan of the show, I KNOW that you know just how exciting this is! All of us fans of the show have been waiting anxiously for the next episode ever since the last episode of Season 6 aired over 6 1/2 months ago, way back on April 3rd.

As a fan, I already know that one – or more – of our “beloved” characters is going to die in this episode. I have an idea who it may be, but I just hope it’s not either of my personal favorites, who have been a part of the cast since the show started! We sit and wait for a few more hours, then we will know……..I think!

Most people really seemed to enjoy the two puzzles posted yesterday, so I will continue with two more similar puzzles again today. Yes, I do realize that these puzzles are not all that difficult to solve, but they were originally designed for children. Still, a few minutes of fun mental exercise never hurt anyone! 🙂

Like yesterday, the challenge is to find the six hidden words in each photo. I hope that you enjoy today’s selections. The solutions to all of this week’s puzzles will be posted at the end of the week.

Highlights for Children magazine is an American publication made especially for children. It was first published in June of 1946 by Garry Meyers and his wife, Caroline.

In my next few blog posts, I will put up two pictures that are puzzle challenges straight from various issues of Highlights magazine. What is the challenge? Try to find the six hidden words in each photo. Sound easy enough? Trust me, it’s a lot harder than you think. I hope you enjoy!

I will post the solutions to the puzzles later in the week.

Art Car Parade (Part 4)

Follow my blog with Bloglovin

This is the fourth, and last, installment covering the Art Car Parade that my husband and I went to on Saturday, April 16, 2016. This post will cover the Grand Opening of the new Victoria Five Points Museum of Contemporary Art which opened on the same day as the Art Car Parade. The museum will house and display some of the vehicles all year round when they are not been shown at various locations.

This concludes the four part series covering the Art Car Parade and the new Museum of Contemporary Art. I sincerely hope that you have enjoyed my photos of these cars. Even if you are not really a “car person,” the sheer artistry of their custom paint jobs is still beautiful to look at and appreciate!

If you have not seen the first three parts in this series, you can find them here:

As promised in my Art Car Parade (Part 2) post, this is the third installment covering the Art Car Parade that my husband and I went to on Saturday, April 16, 2016. Here are some more vehicles that we saw in the parade. However, these vehicles are different from the ones shown in the two previous posts. These entries are classic vintage, as well as low riders and modified cars.

Since I have no real information on the vehicles and I am not good at identifying makes and models of cars, I will just let the photos speak for themselves. Some of these vehicles have some very detailed custom artwork done on them! I hope that you enjoy the photos!

There will be one more post in this series. It will cover the Museum of Contemporary Art which houses some of these vehicles when they are not out on the road being shown at area events.

If you haven’t already seen them, be sure to check out Art Car Parade (Part 1) and Art Car Parade (Part 2), as well as Art Car Parade (Part 4) in this series.
