As promised in my Art Car Parade (Part 2) post, this is the third installment covering the Art Car Parade that my husband and I went to on Saturday, April 16, 2016. Here are some more vehicles that we saw in the parade. However, these vehicles are different from the ones shown in the two previous posts. These entries are classic vintage, as well as low riders and modified cars.
Since I have no real information on the vehicles and I am not good at identifying makes and models of cars, I will just let the photos speak for themselves. Some of these vehicles have some very detailed custom artwork done on them! I hope that you enjoy the photos!
There will be one more post in this series. It will cover the Museum of Contemporary Art which houses some of these vehicles when they are not out on the road being shown at area events.

This is so crazy! I love the doors on the cars that go up in the sky. I just am amazed that people spend so much time and money to be a part of this. I wonder if they drive these cars around for the rest of the year….

I can’t say for a fact, but I am pretty sure that these cars are for show only and are not driven very much. I know that many are transported from city to city for various car shows in trucks or on a trailer.

Wow, though I’m not really into cars I’m passionate about vintage and would love to own one of those vintage beauties. I particularly loved the lime green car.

I am not really “in” to cars myself, but these cars are more works of art than just being cars. I would love to be able to own one, as well! I like that green one, too! I do believe that one will also be featured in my next post because it was being housed at the Museum of Contemporary Art, so stay tuned! 🙂

The first car (the red one) reminds me of the late Prince and that “Little Red Corvette”. 🙂

Little red corvette? Not even close! Ha! Ha! There is nothing little about that car! I know that particular car is a ’78 or ’79 Lincoln Continental Mark V coupe, with a V8 engine. 😉

The green car is one of my favorites. It is called “Lucky Charm” and it is a beautifully custom painted 1985 Chevrolet Caprice.

I am totally not a car person but can you imagine how much money those people have sunk into their vehicle!!! You could probably buy a house with some of those!

I know nothing about cars. When someone tells me they got a car, I ask what colour. That is the extent of what I can discuss lol! I love the lines of the older vehicles and the size! Lots of room in the trunk for going to Costco!

It is so interesting topic but I don’t know really too much about cars. Maybe it will change someday. I like the colors of cars and the idea of the Art Car Parade! It looks like a great place to be and to spent time!

They looks so unique and different and they speak for themselves. This is really piece of art, great art. You are lucky that you can see them in real life, because I’m sure they looks fabolous.

Some of these cars really belong to a Museum. Looking at the photos some cars are like a trip to memory lane, while others are more of a specialized design, something that can be seen only on movies.

Funny you should say that Sonnie, as many of these cars actually ARE in a museum! The Museum of Contemporary Art where many of these automobiles are house and showcased is exactly the subject of my last article in this series, Art Car Parade (Part 4)!

I am more of a barbie girl but seeing these pictures I wish I was there. It is impressive how artful these cars are, from another era. Thank God there is the internet and you can see what’s going on in the world.
