These amber spray bottles are so much nicer than I was expecting! I was pleasantly surprised when the box arrived and I opened it. These amber bottles are very well constructed. They are made with a medium thickness glass, not thin at all! These bottles hold a generous 16 ounces, so they are sure to fit the bill for any use you can possibly think of! Each bottle comes paired with its own screw-on, heavy duty spray top. These sprayers feel very well made and are easy to squeeze. The sprayer has two settings, “Stream” or “Spray”, as well as 2 “Off” settings. Being an amber color, they are perfect for using with essential or cooking oils!
I already have a couple of bottles in use. One I filled with some extra virgin olive oil and use as my own version of non-stick cooking spray! Why should I spend money for a small aerosol can of non-stick cooking spray when I can put my own oil in a spray bottle for a fraction of the cost! The other bottle I have peppermint essential oil and water and have been using it to spray around my door and windows as an insect deterrent. Plus my house smells delicious!
These bottles also come with reusable chalk labels, but I currently don’t have any chalk or chalk pens in order to properly write on them. I will have to get some in the near future.
I am very much pleased with the quality of these bottles. I know that I will be able to use these spray bottles for all kinds of things! I actually had been looking for some spray bottles and good quality ones are actually very hard to find!
16oz Amber Spray Bottles with Reusable Chalk Labels (6 Pack)
Using these bottles for cooking sounds good. The oil intake would be minimum but my major concern would be cleaning these bottles. Since they might be having a straw type vessel inside to enable spraying oil, what would you suggest the cleaning procedure to be?

Not letting the bottle go for long periods without cleaning is an important step in proper maintenance, as it is with using anything that is food related. Here is how I clean my spray bottles: Remove spray top from bottle and place the bottom of the tube in warm, soapy water. Pump the spray top a few times until the warm soapy water begins to spray through for several pump, then allow the pump and tube to soak in the soapy water for at least 5 minutes. When time is up, pump the sprayer again but this time with the tube placed in warm, clean water to rinse out. Remove the tube from water and continue pumping the sprayer until no more spray is dispensed. Allow all the parts to thoroughly air dry before using again.

This would come in handy for a lot of things. From cooking to cleaning in various forms where the amount of the liquid to be used must be controlled.

I’m quite a practical person and am always looking for new ideas! Nice post, I’d be tempted to spray paint them and spruce them up a bit!

Haha, I probably would use this bottle for deep conditioners, or even water. Whenever I roller set my hair, the small spray bottle I have, isn’t big enough and I constantly I have to refill it to damp my hair. This bottle is ideal.

I’d want one of these for my hydrating toner. I’ve been looking for a smaller spray bottle to use for this, but just hadn’t found anything the right size.

This is a great idea – I read something the other day about spraying your food with olive oil instead of drizzling on top. I think you could cover more of your veggies (or whatever else you may want to roast.. or salad!) and waste LESS olive oil as a whole. Thanks for sharing!

Awesome, I think I need some! They would be perfect for spraying eucalyptus on the kids mattresses when they have colds

What a brilliant idea. Such a simple idea yet so practical. I am forever buying the bottles of spray oils and they are quite expensive and half the time they stop working so you lose half the oil. Will definitely be using this idea. Thank You 🙂
