So, the Texas primaries were held today. Along with that also on the ballot were some state issues up for a vote and various offices up for grabs at both the state, as well as local county and city. My husband and I went to cast our votes shortly before 3 pm this afternoon, at the Junior High School which is just a few blocks from us. It was a quick process with no waiting. We were in and out in less than 10 minutes.
In my opinion, too many people have become apathetic when it comes to voting. I may not like the same candidate as you, but if you don’t vote, then no one will know your choice. Additionally, I am really getting tired of hearing people complain about our government, yet they never go vote! If you don’t vote, then I don’t think you have a right to complain about things, since you didn’t care enough to cast you ballot to make your choices known to begin with.
Everyone should vote! Everyone has a voice! Use it! It has become an epidemic of thinking that their one vote will not make any difference, but with millions of people thinking that way, then collectively all of those single votes actually has the potential to speak volumes!
we should vote to get better results in our country, unfortunately people dont …a great post
